Everything pays well on this ship. The gold is endless, the reward is plenty. Don't lose your heads over worrying so much. Ok wait a second, I just noticed this. He said "EVERYTHING pays well on the ship." It might imply that whatever we do we will get some information out of it. "The gold is endless, the reward plenty" part I am not sure about. I think it might just be in conjunction with the Everything pays well thing. And the "Don't lose you heads" part might just imply that exploring the ship has no real consequences and we can just explore it however we want.

Captain's Log Day 1 of Exploration The Following log is a collection of both My personal log along with the record of the crew's discussion and thoughts on the matter at hand. I pray that they make it into the hands of someone that will be able to prevent this atrocity from happening again. Not even in my wildest Dreams could I imagine such horrors. I must caution whoever found these records, they Will disturb you. Have no mercy on any survivor if they exist, Kill them. They will leave You no choice.
The proceeding attachment is the records of the discussions from the first day following the...event. There is a possible connection between the OP and this post Everything pays well on this ship. The gold is endless, the reward is plenty. Don't lose your heads over worrying so much. "Don't lose your heads over worrying so much" and "I must caution whoever found these records, they disturb you". These two lines somewhat contradict each other. At first Dante talks about how these records will disturb you, yet he tells us not to worry so much. This is not a good sign at all. And once again with words that start with E. He has now ended two posts with a word that starts with e, event and exploration, and started with a word that starts with e, Everything. I am unsure if its a coincidence or not.

Ok for now all of you fancy peoples using google chrome. Out of curiosity i was taking a better look at the images. I went through everything i possibly could before I hit the inspect elements button. Now when I did this, a message was in it next to the picture. The on in the OP says "They are among you". Then to confirm this I went to the sign up thread. And this one said something else, "Welcome to my watery hell."
Guys, we have gotten off the rape train and we can't get off

The foghorn sounds only once, before dying into silence again. The search continues.

It now says "One teehee, more friends to play with" I don't know what this means but I think it refers to the red line now present in the picture

someone else can investigate the foghorn, I went to the bridge... a logical place to look for the captain and/or clues to his whereabouts

I think it was Alfie's post that triggered the foghorn. We need to pay close attention to what Alfie had said.

Everyone is suggesting things but not actually doing anything about it. We would lose nothing by simply investigating the foghorn. goddamn.

Am I the only one freaking out about Cthulhu hovering above the portrait in the main post?

well, that would be because the image is a picture of HP Lovecraft, I assumed from the beginning the story has something to do with those Mythos

Exploring is now closed. I will send out results as soon as they're ready.

At first Dante talks about how these records will disturb you, yet he tells us not to worry so much. This is not a good sign at all. Remember, the number one fate of Lovecraftian protagonists is to meet something with a thousand eyes and five dimensions that dines upon their sanity. So, when we are warned not to lose our heads, he's being terribly literal.

I think the foghorn sounds whenever we do something right, hit the head on a puzzle, etc. This has happened before, so I think it should be relatively safe when we hear it. I'm a little worried however, as to our destination. Does anyone know where our ship is going? I don't know if that's been asked yet, but if anyone has an idea it would be awesome to share it right now.

Is the ship moving right now? Because if the captain is missing and we're all here, it would beg the question of who is steering the ship.
Also, Lordy, your post cleared things up for me. I thought it odd the way the writeup ended, but now I get what he was saying. The "attached recordings" are us. Can't believe I didn't put that together.

I always feel stupid playing or reading "danteĀ“s" games. Maybe I should have gone and investigated the foghorn and now we missed an important opportunity but a single misplay and your out. Maybe I am a bit paranoid from the last game I was in, but in that game I was "taken" after being to eager to try different stuff out.
Maybe we can come to some sort of agreement where we split the risks associated with trying different things out by taking turns or something like that?

Right, I checked the Foghorn. It was just a normal foghorn, however, I did get a map of the boat.

I saved someone in a fight. I dragged them back here but had no time to explore the engine room. Anyone get ambushed?

the bridge was locked... actually it "appeared" locked, my character is lazy and just looks at doors instead of trying to open them I guess

I saved someone in a fight. I dragged them back here but had no time to explore the engine room. Anyone get ambushed? That would be me. I found a dead man in the clothes of an officer, with his throat slit. But he had been dead for a few days. Immediately afterwards, the lights went out and it felt like I was being attacked by the darkness. Then something heavy fell on me.

The group may now vote to travel some place together along with the lynch for the day. The meetings will be held in the agreed upon location instead of on the deck, where we are now.

I vote we go to bridge or engine room because because we unable to explain either. I have no lynch recommendations but I vote that we don't lynch someone based on the questions they asked. (lookin at you Lordy)

well, if the bridge is locked going there will be a waste of time... if hydroponics is clear that might be a better place to go... anywhere safe

Captain's cabin is clear. Only thing unusual about it is that he's got a bunch of family photos on his dresser, and they all have missing faces, save for the captain.
