"Juhka's right Goldoth!" Alstar sneered, eyes ablaze, staring at Straut directly. "These men are vile! Didn't you see what they did to Jhon, to Mae? They should have come for us first, cowards!"
Hearing Henry's order, Alstar turns his head. "Just a moment! Cut through the front line and then I can stop him."

Jukha's turn: Jukha channels his energy and forces it outwards towards the soldiers. A shimmering red hued orb appears and a fiendish bird flies out of the portal, immediately attacking the soldier injured by both the chakram and fire. The bird lashes out with it's beak and talons, however only inflicts a very minor scratch on the soldier. Soldier's turn: The soldiers move together to close ranks tighter, forming a more rigid line. They then proceed to strike out at the front line of the party. Two of them strike at Henry, and the other two at Garuk. One of the spear thrusts at Garuk misses wildly, however the second one pirces him straight through the thigh. Both thrusts at Henry are very poorly aimed and miss horribly. Mage Hunter Straut grins at the offer to him of a target. He moves with lightning speed at the eagle summoned before him. He slashes upward with his sword, cleaving one wing off of the bird. As it falls he grabs it in his off and and slams it into the ground, only to follow that up by staking it into the ground with one of his throwing knives. The bird disappears just as quickly as it appeared in a similar shimmering red orb. Garuk only: You took 8 damage

"Goldoth not see Jon or May. Where Jon and May? Goldoth not know why fight." Goldoth looks about, clearly confused by the situation. Unsure of how to proceed, Goldoth pushes into the middle of the fray, holding up his hands and shouting, "All people stop fight. No more fight!" He pauses, facing away from the others, transfixed by the prone forms of Jhon and Mae. "Goldoth not know...metal men hurt Jon and May?" Clearly angry, Goldoth swings at the nearest guard with his greataxe. DM note: Move diagonal northwest two squares, ending between Alstar and the guards.
Spot Check: Result is 19; Goldoth notices Jhon and Mae and recognizes that they are hurt
Attack the guard directly north of Goldoth with greataxe.

Goldoth's turn: Goldoth's greataxe slices through the already very injured soldier in front of him, leaving his charred, cut, and mutilated corpse laying on the barn floor.
Everyone hears the resounding THUD!!! of something very powerful hitting the back wall of the barn.

Henry dodges around Paul and seizes the downed soldier's sword. With a glance toward the back of the barn, he re-enters the fray, attacking the leftmost soldier.

As Henry dodges around Paul to pick up the fallen soldiers weapon Paul, seeing their numbers already cut thin, attacks with another cleave against the two nearest soldiers who in a nice gesture decided to move closer together to set themselves up better.

Alstar takes careful aim, refocusing his energy. Another fiery blast would hit his comrades, so he decides to cast an alternate spell at Straut. After a subtle chant, he wills his powers to affect the witch hunter. "There's your 'hex', Henry," Alstar muttered, his voice not sounding hopeful. "Just, don't count on it to hold for long. If it holds up at all."
Shaking off the negativity, he looks around the barn, trying to find another way outside than to wade into the barrier of blades before him. DM Note: Alstar casts Daze on Straut, DC 14 Will. However, he is also trying to find a way outside so he can engage the mage hunter without risking anyone else caught in the line of fire. If possible, he will have Sal try and figure out what has happened with the loud noise just now.

"What was that?" He says, with obvious concern but his focus comes back to the fight at hand. He lines up another chakram after taking another five foot step to the side, throwing it at the man we assume is Straut this time. "Death to those who take freedom!"

Paul and henry's coordinated movements seem incredibly effective. Paul unleashes a vicious horizantal slash just above henry's head, breaking through the attempted coordinated blocks of the two soldiers. The attack drives through the first soldier, leaving him incredibly wounded, and cuts down the second, previously injured, soldier. The firs tone does not remain standing for long, hwoever, as Henry quickly follows up with his newly acquired short sword with a stab to the neck of the physically traumatized soldier, passing through both the man's trachea and spine of the soldier. Straut appears to not even notice that Alstar casted a spell. Sera's chakram flies through the air with the speed of Hermes before soldly embedding itself into the corpse of an already dying soldier. Straut strides forth, cutting down the remaining soldier with disgust. You are worthless. Absolutely worthless. I was kind of hoping I would be able to do this myself though. Been a while since I've had a good fight.
Map and stuff: Initiative order resumes from here, until the soldier's turn.

After slicing through the two soldiers and witnessing Straut kill the last one Paul squeezes his greatsword tight and prepares to have the man killed by his own blade.
After, of course, allowing his teammates a chance in an oddly sort of turn based system that was seemingly based off the luck of the draw.

Garuk stumbles back a bit as the spear pirces his leg. Crying out, he swings madly at the retreating soldier, missing completely as the huge orc pulls back from the front line. Watching angrily as the mage hunter strides confidently into the barn, Garuk pushes the pain out of his mind and raises his axe, moving to the man's side and leveling his great axe straight toward his foe's midsection. Roaring in anger, the orc swings with virtually all of his impressive might. DM Note Standard attack after moving into the space diagonal forward towards the mage hunter

Goldoth! Get him! Chrush him like the ant he is, Jukha screams. Doing a fierce chant, in a language quite different and much harsher then what Alstar used when casting his spells, Jukha puts his hand down into his pouch and throws what looks like glittering flecks of dust towards Goldoth. Spolier for gm: Jukha casts enlarge person on Goldoth.

"Capture him... I want to find who his 'source' is..." He says, quietly to Jukha and Alstar so Straut hopefully does not hear his plan. He then gives a wicked grin, throwing another chakram after a step closer to Straut as he shouts at him. "Cmon, ugly! Let's see if you can put up a better fight against us!"

Garuk swings his axe at the newly approached enemy but the attack, fueled by rage, seems to bit a bit sloppy and the Hunter easily sidesteps the swing, smiling a bit to himself as he does so. The glittering dust thrown by Jukha seems to whirl around the room, finally beginning to form around Goldoth, though the spell has not yet begun to affect him as Jukha continues chanting. Two simultaneous clicks are heard as 2 crossbow bolts fly out of the hayloft. One of them grazes Jukha in the shoulder, however he manages to maintain concentration on his spell. The other bolt narrowly misses Seraphym. Two crossbowmen can now be seen having set up a position in the hayloft. There is another very thunderous *BOOM* from the back wall of the barn, and it seems that a somewhat large segment of that back wall is breaking, about ready to fall in. Map and stuff: Keep in mind that the two soldiers on the map are in the hayloft, which is about 25-30 feet high. For Jukha: You take 2 damage, your spell is not interrupted.

"Alstar! Jukha! 'Bout face and hex the archers!" Henry shouts. He pats Paul on the back, makes a quick gesture with his right hand, and dashes out of the barn to flank the mage hunter in tandem with Garuk. He finally attacks with the short sword.

"The hells does "'bout face" mean?" he shouted as he turned around and grabbed his crossbow, preparing to take aim. "Remember, we aren't your old slaver buddies, we don't get your fancy militant lingo Henry!"
Alstar sets his sights on the one to his left, but before he fires he shouts, "Charlotte?! Where are you? Any of you saw where she ran off to?"
Gritting his teeth, he mutters a small curse, slams a bolt in and fires at the bowman to his left.

Tiring of this cocky bastard Paul gathers all his strength into his next attack and swings for the Mage Hunter hoping to split him in two. DM's shit Power Attack which is 2d6 + 6 (Strength + 2 Handed Bonus) + 3 (power attack = +2 and +50% for being two handed)
So 2d6 + 6 + 3 right?

Goldoth stands transfixed by the soldier he has just mortally wounded. Dropping his axe, he falls to his knees and wails, "Goldoth sorry! Goldoth not want bad hurt!" Desperate, he clumsily tries to hold the grizzly gash shut. DM Note: Drop greataxe as a free action, drop to a kneel as a move action.
Heal Check: Result is 1; Goldoth probably only exasperates the soldier's wounds further.

Paul releases a massive downward swing at the mage hunter before him, however does not even come close to hitting him. Henry dodges around Paul once again, attempting to move past and behind Straut, however Straut sees his opportunity to strike and delivers a swift cut to Henry's side. Slightly distracted by his wound, Henry's following attack is somewhat clumsy and Straut easily deflects to blow with his off hand. Alstar's crossbow bolt flies through the air, striking one of the crossbow men solidly in the shoulder. Yet another thrown Chakram from Seraphym, however this one actually manages to deal a glancing blow to Straut's leg. Straut does not seem too perturbed by this slight annoyance. Straut grins solemnly, "All of this hatred, over what? Killing a couple of rebels? Well I guess I still need to finish the job." Straut steps to the side, away from the majority of those attacking him and, at the same time, feints a low punch at Garuk's stomach, leaving him open for a quick thrust to the chest, however it is fortunately only a grazing wound. Henry: 5 damage
Garuk: 5 damage

Damn it to all seven hells, Alstar thought darkly. He felt like they were losing against the mage hunter and was starting to believe he would be useless against him. However, seeing the party's perseverance gave him hope. DM note: Alstar makes a spellcraft check for Jukha's spell +7, just to ease his curiosity.

"Just speak plain Common then, that's all I'm asking!" Alstar responds to Henry. He notices Goldoth's actions and sighs inwardly. Trying to goad him into action, he says to the orc, "Goldoth, remember who you are fighting! He killed Jhon and Mae! What's done cannot be undone. Fight with us, orc! We need your strength!" DM note: Diplomacy check to get Goldoth fighting again (+9). I have a feeling we'll be boned without him.

Finishing his spell with what sounds close to bestial growl jabs his hand outward towards Goldoth. In an instant the magical energy enters the already large orc and causes his body to change size. After the rapid growth has ended Goldoth stands larger then 14 foot tall. "Goldoth! I can help him if you just stop these people from fighting us. Hit the man that is till hurting us with the flat side of your axe or just hold him down. I need you."Turning back towards the loft Jukha draws forth energy for another spell, this time mumbling a very short spell while walking towards the loft, opening a small portal and summoning an abyssal dog out of it. The dog, with teeth to large for a animal of its size and fur the color of blood, appears behind the two crossbowmen and lunges for the closest one. Move action to move just bellow the loft. Standard action to summon a fiendish dog.

Garuk roars again as he sweeps his greataxe in low to block the hunter's jab. Suddenly, a stinging pain in his chest reveals that the orc had fallen for the human's feint. More angry than injured, Garuk steps back, away from the conflict, and drops his axe to one side. He raises his left hand and holds it above his thigh, focusing on the more intense pain there as he wills his injury's fury to subside. DM Note: Cure light wounds on self, using one my my daily lvl 1 slots and spontaneous casting to replace whatever I had studied that day, which I still need to figure out...

Garuk seems to be covered in a slight shimmer as his wounds slowly begin to heal. As Jukha's spell completes affecting Goldoth, he does indeed grow to be a 14-foot high monster of an orc. Jukha turns back towards the edge of the hayloft, and his spell goes off without a problem as his demon dog leaps out of the portal and snaps at the crossbowman who, even though surprised, manages to recoil away from the attack. The same sharpshooter takes a quick step back while loading a new bolt and fires it at the hound, hitting it in the throat, though not quite downing it. The other crossbowman seems to catch something out the corner of his eye and aims his crossbow at something else in the loft, "Come here little girly, we want to play." He fires his bolt just as several very loud footsteps are heard in the loft and the crossbowman goes screaming off the edge, landing crumpled on the ground below, though he is still breathing. In his place on the edge stands a hulking behemoth of tarnished metal standing at least 8-feet tall. With one final impact at the back of the barn a very large section of the wall collapses inward and reveals a hulking brute of, easily equaling the bulk of Goldoth in his standard form, with muscles unnaturally huge. He is clothed in nothing but soft leather pants and is wielding a massive maul. "I am here to hunt mages. Please do raise hands." Garuk: You healed for 7 points
Map and initiative: Initiative order is now: Paul Henry Alstar Seraphym Straut Garuk Jukha Unknown Golem Soldiers(Including the big guy) Goldoth It is currently Goldoth's turn.

As Goldoth grows, he takes care not to step on the injured soldier. "Jukha help hurt pink person?" Goldoth asks. "Goldoth hit bad pink person and make fighting stop!" Bringing his greataxe to bear, Goldoth sweeps down with the flat of it. DM note: Attack Straut with greataxe for nonlethal damage.
