Operational Policy
- In order to request a place on any queue in this calendar, a forummer must have first played in at least two games at FM. All first-time hosts are required to seek a supportive cohost, as defined in Rule 5. A host must run at least four games to completion independently without being probated for any reason in order to be considered an experienced host. If an experienced host is probated for any reason, they will no longer be considered an experienced host and must remeet the requirements once the probation has ended in order to be considered an experienced host again.
- At this time, the community is not large enough to support multiple queues. As such, all games will go under a single queue. If the community grows, we may divide the queues.
- The next host in line in a queue cannot start their game until the current game is over. A host may, at any time, choose to move back an indefinite number of spaces in the queue if they do not want to or are not ready to run their game yet.
- When a host reaches the top of the queue, the host will be allotted a period of one week to start their game, after which, if the host has not started, the host will be moved down one place in the queue and the next host in line will have an opportunity to host. If the next host in line similarly fails to start their game in a week, the host will be moved down twice in the queue, and then the previous host that failed to start will be moved down one place in the queue, such that the third host in line will have an opportunity to host, and so on, until a host that is ready is at the top of the queue. If a host stagnates the queue in this manner twice consecutively, the host will be removed from the queue and probated from hosting until they have completed one rehabilitation, as defined in Rule 8.
- A host may only be in the queue once at any given time. Hosts are granted additional spots for supportive cohosting, where "supportive" is defined as an experienced host supporting a first-time host in hosting a first game; the term "equal cohost" will be used to refer to all other instances of cohosting, with exception to "rehabilitating cohost", as defined in Rule 8.
- Equal cohosts must all be declared when a game enters the queue. Supportive cohosts and rehabilitating cohosts may be declared at any time. If the primary host of a mafia backs out, the game is removed from the queue, regardless of the presence of a supportive cohost or rehabilitating cohost. However, if one of multiple equal cohosts backs out, the other(s) may maintain the spot on the queue, if they so choose. Once a game has begun, if the primary host of the mafia backs out, any cohost present other than a rehabilitating cohost may choose to continue the game, if they so choose.
- Hosts may seek to probate a player from playing for misconduct in a game they are hosting or have recently hosted. The calendar hosts reserve the right to approve or veto a request for probation from playing at their discretion. In the event that a host seeks to probate one of the calendar hosts from playing, the other calendar host will have sole responsibility of approving or vetoing the request. A forummer that is probated from playing may not join games for a period of time as dictated by the calendar hosts.
- The calendar hosts may seek to punish a host for misconduct within the calendar, misconduct as the host of a game, or poor balance of a hosted game. A forummer probated from hosting may not sign up to host a game in the calendar and will be removed from any existing instances on the calendar, until they have completed rehabilitation. In order to complete rehabilitation, a forummer probated from hosting must serve as a rehabilitating cohost to a calendar host. A rehabilitating cohost will be asked by the respective calendar host to create a mock setup, mock role PMs, mock writeups, and mock vote counts, with the respective calendar host rating the rehabilitating host's performance in each of these categories on a scale of 1 to 5. The rehabilitating cohost will not actually perform any real function within the game. If a forummer probated from hosting receives a number of separate overall ratings of 4 as dictated by the calendar hosts, their probated from hosting status will be lifted.
